Hello everyone…
It’s been a while since I have posted here and I come with many excuses as to why I haven’t but I won’t bore you with them. As I sit here in my classroom eating overly mayonnaisey coleslaw (which I despise), I have found some time to write.
Let me catch you up…I am really co-teaching with a wonderful teacher on staff, Jennifer Wolf, our pet hedgehog, Shamrock went to hedgehog heaven last Friday (which was devastating to watch as a mommy), I painted my kitchen cabinets over winter break (lots of work but they look great), I have five new students at one building and three others at another and so much more.
I have recently finished a wonderful book, The Memory of Things by Gae Polisner and have begun partner reading a book with my daughter, Between Shades of Grey by Ruta Sepetys. The Memory of Things is about 9/11 and the emotions that were present in the days after while Between Shades of Grey is about WWII. My daughter is frustrated with me because we are reading out of the same book.
It is wrestling season here at my middle school and I couldn’t be happier. We have a new coaching staff and some new stats who are responsible young ladies doing a bang-up job and we have some new shirts, at the request of the girls, so we are looking good too.
Just of few of the things going on right now…I’ll be back soon.
